This situation sucks and I don’t think Apple really cares. ![]() I have no idea why or how this happens but it makes me think that some of these problems are being caused by Safari itself, and not just the way the password vault is designed. ![]() Then you go to website X the next day and it doesn’t fill the password. You go to website X one day and the vault fills in the password. .profile Install the LastPass browser extension in Firefox, and use the Import option to transfer your existed saved passwords and logins to LastPass. The most frustrating thing I have noticed with all of these apps is that the following. The other times I just manually copy and paste like you said. It identifies and fills the password fields on most websites, I’d guess maybe 75% of the time it fills in the fields correctly. None of them works perfectly, but so far the one that works best for me is Dashlane. They all have problems recognizing the password fields on websites. The LastPass version available in Mac's App Store is a 'Legacy Version' of the LastPass Safari extension, and won't allow you to add LastPass to the Safari toolbar. All of them run the same way: as a separate app outside of the browser. I used Lastpass for many years but had to stop using it after the update to Safari 13.
